In 2024, the first baby in the world conceived using a new technology called Fertilo was born in Peru. Fertilo matures eggs outside the body, cutting the hormone injections that make IVF physically grueling, expensive, and time-consuming from two weeks down to a few days. It's not available in the US yet. It's still in clinical trials there. But in Lima, it's already being used on real patients.
